Tutoring for Elementary - Middle School Grades

It's natural for children to be strong in some subjects and need help in others. I offer custom help in the subjects where your child needs it the most.

I have a College degree in Early Childhood Education. I have worked with parents tutoring Home schooled children using various curriculum. I have also worked as a Substitute Teacher in various grades, as well as homeschooling my own children.

I take pride in coming up with creative and fun ways to teach kids. I believe that a child should enjoy learning!

Reading

Reading is a wonderful and exciting thing for a child to learn, but can sometimes be challenging.

There are so many interesting and fun ways to teach reading and literacy!

If reading is an area that your child could use some extra help in,
I can find ways for your child to learn phonics and reading in a way that interests them!

Reading is a key area in early elementary school.
Becoming fluent in reading and phonics will help your child tremendously in school.

There is nothing like the joy on a child's face when they discover the fun of reading,
and explore the many adventures that are inside books!

Spelling word practice

Spelling words are one area that many kids struggle with in school.
I love coming up with fun & creative ways to learn spelling words!

One of the things we use for spelling word memory, is making our spelling words with playdoh.

Hands on learning allows the memory to better retain the knowledge you are learning!
